Chettinad
Arrive Trichy airport. Pick up and proceed for a visit to the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple (Srirangam), situated 6 km north of the city. It is among the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu in South India, and one of the largest temple complexes in India.
Later proceed by surface to Chettinad(Karaikudi). Arrive Chettinad and check-in to your hotel.

Proceed for day trip to Thanjavur. Thanjavur has as many as 74 temples but the most superb is the Sri Brihadeswara temple. The temple dedicated to Nandi, the Bull is a masterpiece of the captivating Chola architecture. The Brihadeswara temple stands 216 ft. tall but it has been built in such a manner that throughout the day its shadow never falls on the ground ! If ever Art has ardently wooed Beauty, nowhere is it more evident than in the paintings of Thanjavur. Every creation is truly a celebration of the beautiful. Rich, full bodied colours vie with exquisite filigree work to overwhelm the eye. Visit the local craftsmen and the bazaars to view this special craft.

Opt to play Pallanguli, a traditional board game of the Tamils. It is a fascinating number game. You can ask the staff members of the hotel to show you the rules and get started !
Proceed for an interactive learning culinary experience with the chef. Chettinad cuisine is one of the most aromatic and yet the healthiest cuisines in India. Shop for vegetable with the chef and come back to the kitchen to learn some of secrets of this cuisine in the traditional kitchen.
In the evening go for an old style ride on a bullock cart, around the beautiful countryside and view the other magnificent mansions of the Chettiars.
