Social Commitment

As we enrich ourselves with the Rudra energy, we grow in knowledge, invigorate our senses that makes us gratified and happy.

This wealth of happiness can’t be one-sided.  To keep the balance of nature and harmony intact, we need to give back while taking in so much with us.

As such, Rudra Experiences operates all of its in house experiences through its social arm, Gramin India Foundation, a charitable Trust, where we transfer majority of our earnings to further our social goals. Gramin India Foundation, while operating our experiences, achieves the following:

  1. Dignified, Sustainable, employment creation through training, capacity building, and skill development at the grassroots level, across cities in India.
  2. Development of Eco-friendly, innovative, tourism infrastructure that are nonpolluting, respect the environment while giving a premium experience to the tourist.
  3. Creating sustainable employment opportunities for artists pursuingClassical, Semi Classical, Traditional Indian music and dance forms.
  4. Consumption of textiles and crafts made by local artisans and craftsman.
  5. Exclusive use of pure, organic, food ingredients; slow cooking processes and revival of traditional, original recipes that were part of a healthy lifestyle.

Tourism Awareness:

We encourage our team and travelers to demonstrate the ‘humane’ principles of travel by respecting people, cultures and local environments. We put a lot of effort in creating awareness amongst all our stakeholders, be it our team, associates, partnering hotels, service providers, as well as our guests, around appreciation for diversity, the importance of human dignity and concern for the local eco-system.

Little steps in daily action:

  1. Our stationary, including our visiting cards and letterheads, are made from rhino and elephant dung paper, an interesting invention by a simple man, in the northeastern corner of this country,elrhinopaper.com.All office paper and paper products are recycled wherever possible. Double-sided printing is the default setting on all printers.
  2. Avoid plastic usage wherever possible and encourage local, eco-friendly materials.
  3. Avoid use of lithium batteries that are a disposal hazard in India.
  4. Our trips are designed in a way that limits the physical impact or the carbon footprint much under the carrying capacity of the destinations we visit.
